Color Pencil

 Working in the medium of color pencil is very  relaxing.  I like to draw a design and leave it on a table for a few weeks or months. When I have  at least 30 minutes of free time I will sit and work on it.   I am a spiritual medium and sometimes I have an hour between clients which is a perfect time to work on a color pencil piece.  This image of grapes and leaves took a few weeks, and because I loved the design I found myself pulled back to my table to work a little more. The leaves were the most challenging and required patience!    At the end I burnished the drawing with a colorless blender by Copic.   Another way to burnish a color pencil piece is to use baby oil or an old typewriter eraser.  Here is the finished piece.
