This was a challenge to paint and took many months. When you paint in the botanical fashion the background is usually left white. This poses a challenge in keeping the background clean. I So you can imagine how many paper towels I used. You have to approach this type of painting as a puzzle. Instead of painting a Peony Flower I was doing a puzzle!
