I am posting some of ,y fall leaves from last fall. I keep a portfolio of different subjects. It is a great way to practice color and technique.
This broken and dried up brown leaf was so much fun to paint. It took many hours. Most of the leaf was painted with watercolor but I did use a little color pencil in the tight areas. I also needed my calligraphy pen for spots and outlining the darker area of the mid-rib.This is another leaf curled in a different direction.
You can see the possibilities are endless. I hope some of you will try this subject. The spots on the burnt orange leaf were created with a piece of screen. I painted the screen and blew the spots on to the leaf to create the texture.
Have fun!!!!! Jane
